Living for centuries under the threat of complete annihilation, humanity has fought

valiantly under the command of the powerful deity known as Keo. Psychic and technological advancements have given us a fighting chance to not only save our planet, but to spread across the galaxy on a quest of liberation.

Completely united (with the exception of a rare few cowards

and traitors), the forces of humanity hold back ever-cresting

waves of slag, a dark and demonic force that seeks only to

consume and corrupt all that is sentient and free.

Our soldiers, channelers, and children all pray for a day

when the fear of slag will be no more. But as of 3044, slag's

grotesque forms and staggering hordes march ever 

on.

Slag is mysterious and remains full

of dark surprises. 

But it seems humanity still

has a few surprises of its own.
